About Me

What makes a photo more than just a captured moment in time? What can turn an ordinary scene into an extraordinary one? It’s not the camera, it’s not the lens, it’s not even the film. It’s the light. It’s when you look and finally see! Every day it’s right in front of you and all you need to do is see it. And when you see it, turn to the person next to you and share it with them and if you’re lucky enough to have a camera with you, capture it forever. Someone who looked at one of my images one day came to me and asked me, “Did you take this picture? How did you do this? How were you able to make it look like this?” I said it’s really about being in the right place at the right time—luck really. And he said, “Well then, you have to be one of the luckiest people in the world!” The reason I photograph is to share my excitement and wonder in the beauty of light and its ability to take my breath away. I hope my images inspire you to slow down and see the light.
